L-3 is expanding its service base within Nav & Comms and Automation

L-3 Marine Systems based in Bristol has expanded its service capabilities with the addition of two new service engineers.

An expert in automation systems Darren Foy joins us from our Naval Systems Group where until recently he worked on the Integrated Platform Management System for the new Queen Elizabeth Class (QEC) aircraft carriers, which has now successfully completed her sea trials. Darren also has a wealth of experience in Commercial Marine, having worked on projects as diverse as Superyachts, Offshore Vessels, Ropax and LNG tankers.

Enhancing our Nav & Comms team is Michael Molyneux whose background as an engineer in HM Forces and more recently his experience installing and maintaining VTS systems provides an extended service capability based in the Liverpool area.

Service Coordinator Hannah Leigh-Davis  commented: "The addition of experienced engineers such as Darren and Michael is important in maintaining our very high proportion of first time fix service visits, which in turn helps to keep service costs for our customers as low as possible."
